What are the Limmud Seattle teams?

Every Limmud program around the world is produced by volunteers who join teams that play to their strengths and develop new ones. Teams help with every aspect of Limmud, from marketing, to program and presenter selection, to event logistics and much more.

Ready to get involved?  Volunteer!

  • Programming TeamDrives all content-related components of the conference, including planning event sessions and performances, recruiting/inviting presenters, and handling event logistics, including the program book and presenters help desk.
  • Marketing & Outreach TeamHelps shape the public face of Limmud Seattle by developing and implementing a branding and marketing plan to attract a broad range of attendees and media attention.
  • Web/Tech TeamBuilds and steers the Web site and all event-related technology, including databases (volunteers, donors, etc.), event registration, file sharing, calendaring, etc. This team will also handle AV, back office/admin troubleshooting and other tech needs at the event.
  • Facilities and Catering TeamLeads operations related to all on-site needs, including organizing delicious and affordable food for Limmud attendees, providing security, and liaising with the event facility prior to and during the event.
  • Volunteer Development TeamRecruits and retains volunteers and ensures they are supported in their roles and are having fun.  Places volunteers on teams prior to and during the event and helps cultivate an atmosphere of "Limmud" (learning).
  • Participant Care TeamHelps develop the overall participant experience, including the on-site logistics related to the comfort of the participants, the ambience, social spaces, interactions, check-in, registration, help desk, in-kind donations, and the onsite Judaica fair.
